Who Does CCI Serve?
Students between the ages of 16 - 21 who either have an active Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan.
What do they do?
CCI may include the following work based learning interventions:
- Pre-employment skills development
- Career pathway experiences
- Academic performance monitoring to support the career pathway emphasis including high school completion and college preparation.
- Career development assessment
- Self-determination skills development
- Workplace technology skill development.

- Design and implement the project for at least 800 students with disabilities who are between the ages of 16 to 21 and have either an IEP or 504 plan.
- Provide non-paid career focused internships for the participating students.
- Provide paid career focused internships for the participating students.
- Enroll participating students in career pathways programs and/or collaborations.
- Ensure participating students enter a PSE program and/or obtain CIE in a career setting for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Implement a 5-year research and demonstration protocol that assesses formative, progress and outcome measures for students with disabilities.
